Many of the Newnan locals remember having their 1st date at The Alamo Theater, although we’re not a featured movie theater, we DO have a 100 sq. ft screen for watching your favorite sporting events, favorite LOCALLY filmed episodes of The Walking Dead, and we have the biggest stage in town where we host LIVE music EVERY weekend. Whether it be a full band or one of our favorite local acoustic musicians we have been voted the BEST music venue on the South side MULTIPLE years in a row. Over the years, The Alamo has had the pleasure of welcoming some unforgettable musicians: Sugarland, Kool & The Gang, Departure, Michele Malone, Kilo Ali, The Psycho DeVilles and even all-time favorite Chubby Checker, who TWISTED on our stage!!!

We host karaoke, singer songwriter nights and game nights as well. We’ve had music videos filmed on our dance floor, movie scenes shot at our bar and celebrity sightings, including: Norman Reedus, Woody Harrelson, Kyle Petty, Rut Wood, Melissa McBride, Steven Yeun, Nick Cave, Shia Labouf, Tom Hardy, Margaret Cho, Julia Ormond, and Lauren Cohen… just to name a few.
